messy desk syndrome...

My desk is a diaster. My coworkers don't even seem perplexed anymore. If there's one thing on my desk that is always visible (and easy to find) it's this. I hate the fact that I have to search for it's companions (including the amazing multiple-levered remover).

I spent time this weekend cleaning my room. I'm not yet done, but it makes a world of a difference. I think that I'll start with my office this afternoon.

cool stuff...

Over the past little while I've been thinking about trying to track the cool things that I keep coming across. Some of the cool things are websites, or features on websites, other things are just random widgets and gadgets that I've come across.

If you haven't already seen it, use google to find definitions of terms by putting define ahead of the search term. It works really well, but you should probably try to use google.com instead of one of the country specific ones like google.ca

For those really slow days, you should check out foundphotos for some brain dead semi-voyeuristic surfing. There are some gems on the site, but as with all things internetty they're a bit burried.

I love having a laptop, but the simple fact is that it's a bit of a pain to not have a decent place to use it. My buddy Ad gave me a great lap desk from Levenger. For the Canadians in the crowd, it really costs a bundle to ship things up from the U.S., so check out some local sources. I've encountered virtually identical ones at Chapters stores, though I can't seem to find them online.
